The whole Summer 2020, I have diligently been researching, designing, glueing, soldering and creating my newest art pieces involving slides, a glass head, LEDS and musical components. Over time, the scope of this piece has grown and I have expanded my skill set as well. With that said, I am hoping to finish this piece by the end of September barring any more delays in materials. Here's a few snap shots of the evolution of the head growth.

After doodling this sketch in my notebook last November in the Dallas Airport on a layover, I was eager to create this piece. The subtle waves rolling away from the center point, with the electric light reflecting off the base. I am slowly evolving the EL wire technique using new materials like Seguri moldable glues and different cable fasteners to hold the wires. The hardest part was waiting for items to be delivered in the mail during the pandemic.
The newest short I've produced and edited is for the Confinement Film Festival (CoFF) hosted by The Stranger in SEATTLE.
My wonderful dream team of creative pals put together this short in less than two weeks. I am so proud of this short! I started by dremeling a glass head using a diamond bit a small hole. The hole created a pass-way for the electrical work for the upper portion of the piece and a structure support for the wiring. Next steps, I will be overlaying the slides I collected over the glass head, creating a mosaic of memories. Please stay tune for the next steps.
For the past 5 months, I have spent producing a short film called "Deb's Divorce Party". With an amazing team of creative friends, we have a finished product and I am very proud of the work we have done. Here are some shots from our shoot!
